SERVICES

BURIAL

Burial is an environmentally conscious option that offers a natural way to return your beloved animal to the earth. It is a popular choice for horse and large animal owners who want a cost-effective alternative to cremation.

We offer both communal and private burial options on our private, peaceful 100-acre family farm.

Communal Burial

With communal burial, it is a whole-body burial in the ground on our private family farm, following all environmental and legal regulations. Your animal remains intact and is placed respectfully in a shared, peaceful location that is specifically designed and permitted for equine and large animal burial. It is a dignified, natural return-to-earth option where your animal is laid to rest in a dedicated, large and well-managed burial area alongside other animals.

Private Burial

With private burial, only one animal is placed in its own plot on our private family farm for a peaceful, final resting place. We do not offer viewing capabilities post-burial due to liability and farm safety reasons.

All of our burial services include the pickup of your deceased animal, and transportation to our private family farm. Your animal is transported respectfully, placed with care, and the burial is done according to all state regulations. It’s a gentle, earth-honoring choice that many horse and animal people feel peaceful about.

POST-MORTEM TRANSPORT

Necropsy

Many owners desire to know more about their horse’s cause of death. Your insurance company may require a necropsy for an insurance claim to be valid. We can coordinate with your veterinarian to pick up your horse immediately after a necropsy and transport them to their final resting place.

Transport to the burial Site

We also offer caring transport of your beloved animal to a final resting place, or to a cremation service provider of your choosing.

PRE-PLANNING AFTER-LIFE CARE

We believe that honoring your horse with a peaceful transition is just as vital as the care you provided throughout their life. A well-planned transition is a final gift to a loyal companion.

To ease the stress of this emotional process, we are available to coordinate all logistics with you and your veterinarian in advance. We can be by your side in those final moments, oversee the final handling, and ensure a respectful transport to their final resting place.

We invite you to consult with us to discuss these arrangements, ensuring that when the moment arrives, your only focus can be on saying goodbye.

COMPLIANT, TIMELY REMOVAL

Equine and large animal owners have a legal responsibility to manage and dispose of their deceased animal properly. We offer same-day pickups and burials to ensure compliance with the PA Department of Agriculture’s 48-hour requirement to dispose of the animal.

Complete equine post-mortem care options include burial, landfill, cremation, rendering, or composting. It involves significant legal and logistical considerations set by local and state regulations - please refer to yours to learn more about your options.
